
What kind of shifts will I be working?
Your shifts will be a mixture of daytime and, evening. As a member of the management team you will need to be working at times when you can most influence the business.
What's the work-life balance like?
It's very important that working for us is an enjoyable part of your life. That said, its also important that working for us does not take over your life! Because of this, we aim to have the right number of people working in each of our Restaurants to ensure you can comfortably fit work alongside the other parts of your life.
Can I choose how many hours I work?
Our managers work an average of 45 hours per week, normally spread over 5 or 6 days.
Where will I be working when I start with PizzaExpress?
After attending your induction, you will embark on a practical training programme. This will normally take place in Restaurants near to your home.
Can I choose which restaurant I'll be working in?
The Restaurant you'll be working in will be decided by your Operations Manager and our Recruitment team. We will discuss this with you and we'll ensure that it is within reasonable travelling distance of your home.
How do I go about getting a job as a waiter or waitress or in the kitchen?

Do I need to be a UK resident to work for PizzaExpress?
We can employ people who are eligible to work in the UK and can provide evidence of this.
When will I know whether or not I have been successful in my application?
We will contact you within 2 weeks of receiving your application.
Do I need to have worked as a manager previously?
Not necessarily. Our recruitment process helps us to identify if people are suited to the role. If you like working with great people and great food, it's a good start!
Do I need to hold a qualification?
No, we don't require any particular qualifications.
How many people will I manage?
This depends on where you work. Your team could be anything from 8 to 60 people.
Will I need to wear a uniform?
There is no uniform for managers. You just need to dress smartly and professionally. Certain hygiene and appearance rules apply, you will find out about these at your interview.
Will I get a discount on food and drinks?
Every employee at PizzaExpress receives 20% discount in any of our Restaurants.
Will I have any control over the menu?
Our menu is developed by our executive development chef and the food team and is updated regularly. Although you will need to stick to this menu in your restaurant, your comments will always be listened to – we even have a pizza on our menu that was developed by one of our Restaurant Managers.
Are there opportunities to work for PizzaExpress outside of the UK?
